The ideal candidate needs to be a solid leader, with applicable experience, a very strong and diverse skill set, oriented to the food business, and capable of driving improved results and developing a team.
This position will be responsible for establishing and implementing programs, continuously improving operation, capital project preparation and execution, subordinate development, functioning in the union environment, budgeting and tracking financial results, conducting all plant administration.
Requirements
- Knowledge of HACCP,
- SQF/Third party audits,
- FDA
- OSHA/Safety required
- Minimum 5 yrs as a Plant Manager
- Minimum 5 yrs in a food plant
- Minimum 10 yrs in a supervision or management
- Bachelor’s Degree – Technical or Science degree preferred
- Advanced Degree (preferred)

J&J Snack Foods Sales Corp., a highly successful and leading manufacturer of nutritional snack foods, has an exciting career opportunity for a Marketing Manager- Baked Goods position.
The Marketing Manager – Baked Goods will be a key participant in developing the J&J Snack Foods Baked Goods Product line, which includes soft pretzels, funnel cakes and churros, and supports our flagship brand - SUPERPRETZEL.
This position will be responsible for exploring growth opportunities for each baked good product line, developing annual marketing objectives and executing against them. New product launches along with maintaining core product items and recommendations for SKU rationalizations will be imperative to continue to grow sales.
Specific position expectations include:
- Business Analysis – support business growth with analysis and insights on the product lines. Provide insights on product and sales trends. Gather key competitive intelligence.
- Project Management – independently manage projects with measured ROI. Manage and track project priority list to be aligned with marketing plan. Keep projects moving forward by working with members of the cross-functional team (R&D, Operations, IT, Finance)
- Marketing Program and Promotion Development – Develop programs to support sales and increase impact of product awareness and also profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years food marketing experience across multiple marketing channels
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Self motivated, with the ability to multi-task and adapt well to change
- Professional maturity, with excellent Communication and Negotiating Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain.
- Gather, understand and synthesize consumer, customer and category insights.
- Attention to detail is critical
- Innovative; being able to think on your feet
- General Comprehension of Computer Systems (MS Office, Adobe, etc.)
